Itinerary For 7 Days Honeymoon Safari Trip In Uganda
Day 1: Transfer To Kibale Forest National Park And Chimps Trekking
We pick you early morning at your hotel or airport in Entebbe, start a journey to Kibale for Pressure and fatigue lessens during punctuation of stopovers at sceneries like typical African village setups in the far countryside and tea plantations along the drive ways. After lunch at the lodge head for the briefing point and get ready for the Chimp trekking experience in the afternoon. Kibale Forest national park is a rainy forest and a home to over 1500 Chimpanzees. Dinner and overnight at Primate Lodge.
Day 2: Transfer To Queen Elizabeth National Park And Boat Cruise
We have an early transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park. The drive takes us further southwards with the Rwenzori ranges (Longest in Africa) in View or drive through the crater lakes in the hills through to sample out the surprising diversity of savanna trees and wild life! After lunch at 3pm it is time for the classic highlights of a 2hrs boat-cruise on the famous Kazinga channel, a 36km channel linking Lake George - Lake Edward. Hippopotamuses yawning and some slashing canines to each other and the National Geographical society killing machine the Nile Crocodile gaping along the banks, Savannah version of Pigs the Warthog- Pumba of the award-winning Lion King are a hallmark sign in this Animal home! After the boat-cruise we head to the lodge for a relaxed evening. Dinner and overnight at Pumba Safari Cottages.
Day 3: Game Drives In Queen Elizabeth NP And Transfer To Bwindi Impenetrable NP
Experience Queen Elizabeth National Park in the cool morning, an early game drive that exposes us to diverse animals, Big 5 members Elephants, Buffalos, big cats- Lions, Leopards more times in the evening, warthogs- Hunchback carnivals like Hyenas and many more species that are residents to this park are spotted along the circuits as we drive along. There is a rich bird life especially our version of storks in the wetland spots as we reach the Flamingos in the salt lakes. After the morning game-drive we transfer through to the Ishasha Sector of Queen Elizabeth national park. Here we will drive off in this adventurous vast savanna area with Topis, and the southern version of Elephants to get the Lions high in the Fig tree branches. When you have hopefully seen the tree-climbing lions continue on to Bwindi Impenetrable national park. This last part of the journey takes us through a changing landscape from the savanna of Ishasha via villages and cultivated hills to the forest covered. Dinner and over night at Gorilla Mist Camp
Day 4: Gorilla Trekking In Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is the home to the forest giants that are cousins to human beings, the mountain gorillas. Have an early breakfast before heading to the starting point of the highlight of the honeymoon safari your Gorilla trekking adventure. You will head in to the forest with a specialized guide, walk through beautiful jungle and finally get to spend one hours with the mountain gorillas of Bwindi. This Impenetrable Forest is as well full of birds, butterflies and plant species plus forest hog, forest elephants, statungas and dikers. When you have finished your trekking adventure transfer to beautiful Lake Bunyonyi. Dinner and over night at Bunyonyi View Gorilla Packers
Day 5: Relaxing Day At Lake Bunyonyi
Enjoy this free day by the lake and take in the stunning surroundings. Possible activities this day are canoeing, swimming, hiking or just relaxing by the lake. Lake Bunyonyi is in south-western Uganda between Kisoro and Kabale, and it is close to the border with Rwanda. Dinner and over night at Bunyonyi View Gorilla Packers
Day 6: After Breakfast, Transfer To Lake Mburo National Park
Leave the lake and continue driving through the hilly areas on to the vast savanna dotted with acacia and shrubs in Lake Mburo national park. Arrive at the lodge in time for lunch and then head out for a game drive for view of zebras, topis, warthogs, cape buffaloes, impalas and native birds. Day 7: Safari Walk In Lake Mburo National Park And Transfer To Kampala
Get up early for an early morning safari walk; visit the hyenas den, chance to see Leopards, zebras, waterbucks, birds and buffaloes in their day break jungle life! Get back to the lodge for breakfast and then start the drive back towards Kampala (takes 4, 1/2hrs) as we have reached the end of the honeymoon safari. Have an early lunch in Masaka and make a stop at the Equator. Be dropped off in Kampala or continue on to Entebbe depending on flight time.
