Itinerary For The 9 Days With Gorillas, Chimps & Rhinos Trip
Day 1: Arrival And Transfer To Hotel
On arrival at Entebbe International airport, you will be met by your guide and professional martz safaris Driver who will transfer you out of the Airport to Entebbe Town, so as to check into your Hotel and relax from your flight at your hotel as you enjoy the cool breeze from the Lake Victoria.
Day 2: Head To Kibale Forest Chimpanzee Park Via Tea Eastate
After breakfast at your hotel, the 9 days of Uganda memorable experience begins with a Westward 5 – 6-hour drive to the Kibale Chimpanzee Park. The journey is a pleasant one and our 4-wheel drive vehicle, your driver guide will do his best so that you will enjoy the journey through the Ugandan countryside. It is a scenic drive and once again you will be reminded why Uganda is the Pearl of Africa especially when you reach on the foothills of Mountain Rwenzori in Fort Portal for the Tea plantation trek. Later check in for relaxation.
Day 3: Chimpanzee Trekking, Transfer To Queen Elizabeth National Park
The briefing about Chimpanzee Tracking by the forest guide. Kanyanchu is the central part of Kibale in the main trail head for the park’s famous forest walks, the most have an early morning breakfast and drive to the Kanyanchu park headquarters for popular of which is the regular Primate Walk. Chimpanzee tracking (trekking) can take up to 3 hours. Chimpanzees are our closet cousins though they are one of the most threatened primate’s species. Unlike other Uganda chimpanzee locations, we are over 98% certain that you will see and find them here. We find the chimps by listening to their pant-hooting calls, then hustle to the area from which they are calling. Also, expect to see other primates such as Black and White Colobus Monkeys, Black faced Red Colobus, Red Tailed Monkeys, Olive Baboons and an incredible array of bird life, including the Great Blue Turaco. The things you need for the day include long trousers preferably jeans, long-sleeved shirts, light hiking boots and so many others.
Day 4: Game Drive And Safari Walk In Queen Elizabeth NP, Kazinga Channel Boat Cruise
An early morning breakfast and go for a game safari in Queen Elizabeth national park. QENP is surrounded by snow-capped Rwenzori Mountains, and in the north, "Mountains of the Moon". The park is bordered on the North East by Kazinga Channel Boat Safari, Lake George and Lake Edward on the South West; its western border joins the Zaire Parc Du Virunga. Look out for teeming herds of Uganda Kobs, as well as topi, elephant and lion, giant forest hog, and Cape buffalos. There are also several soda lakes filling ancient volcanic calderas where flamingos reside seasonally. Drive back to the Lodge for lunch and relax. In the afternoon, we leave for the boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel. This gives you the opportunity to see wildlife real close; there are hippos, hippos and more hippos. In between are hundreds of birds of all kinds, some crocodiles and of course more hippos, and elephants and buffaloes. It is simply a fabulous, slow boat ride that usually is one of the highlights of a safari.
Day 5: Drive To Bwindi Via Ishasha, Sights Of Tree Climbing Lions
Have breakfast and head to the southern part of the park called the Ishasha sector. This famous home of tree climbing Lions that are seen resting on Fig tree branches in the afternoon. Other mammals in Ishasha sector include Buffalo herds, African Elephants and Topis. It is also enriched with tropical bird species such as Saddle billed stork. En route lunch and drive south west wards to Bwindi Impenetrable forest which is the home of mountain Gorillas.
Day 6: Gorilla Trekking In Bwindi Impenetrable Nation Park
Early morning breakfast and proceed to the briefing point. Enjoy the highlight of your trip - Gorilla trekking, which may last from 2 to 8 hours depending on the group you are visiting. We trek through the rain forest and bamboo covered slopes, accompanied by a Uganda Wildlife Authority guide and other trackers, in search of a mountain gorilla family. The walking can sometimes be tough and long, but when you catch a glimpse of the magnificent silverback, any discomforts will be quickly forgotten. Due to the nature of the activity, you will have packed lunch. After your tracking (trekking) experience, return to your accommodation for a well deserved rest. If there is time you might do an afternoon walk about in a pigmy village and give you some cultural insights into the local Batwa culture.
Day 7: Transfer To Lake Mburo National Park For An Evening Game Drive
After a late breakfast, drive eastwards to Lake Mburo National park via mbarar-Masaka high way with lunch en route. On arrival in the park, take an evening bush game drive where you should expect to see Zebras, Impala herds, Warthogs, water bucks, Topis among others. Check in to the lodge for dinner and overnight at your lodge.
Day 8: Transfer To Rhino Sanctuary Via Kampala
With wonderful memories of the previous day, you will have a heavy breakfast as you prepare yourselves for an exciting road trip back to Kampala plus a stopover at the equator line for an experience that shouldn’t be missed as you take photos. The journey will continue as you enjoy the beautiful scenery via Kampala the capital city to the rhino sanctuary. You will be amazed by rhinos at the sanctuary and indeed you will know that Uganda is indeed the pearl of Africa.
You will explore the home of the only wild rhinos in Uganda.You will then be transferred back to Kampala where you will have an overnight and dinner.
Day 9: Drop Off To Entebbe International Airport
After the breakfast, the Martz Safaris driver will drive you to Drive to Entebbe International airport to catch your flight back home. That will mark the end of your trip.
